Founded in 1910 in Paramaribo, Suriname, by Isaak Fernandes, Fernandes Group began as a small novelty store. It saw significant growth, especially after acquiring the Coca-Cola Franchise in 1938 under Jule Fernandes. Now, it's one of Suriname's largest private companies, involved in beverages, food, automotive, distribution, and hardware sectors. The Group also has operations in Guyana, exporting bakery and ice cream products and owning a significant part of DemBake, a local bakery.
