SGCC and TTMA 2026 Regional Trade Mission Across Guyana and Suriname
The Suriname-Guyana Chamber of Commerce (SGCC), in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA), is set to facilitate the 2026 TTMA Trade Mission to Guyana and Suriname from June 8-13, bringing together more than 60 T&T business representatives for a week of strategic engagement, networking, and business development.
Building on the success of previous missions, the 2026 programme will feature curated B2B matchmaking sessions, business consultations, market engagement activities, opening and closing networking receptions, and trade mission activities in both Guyana and Suriname. The mission officially opens with a pre-mission briefing, followed by business engagements in Georgetown and Paramaribo designed to connect participants directly with potential partners, buyers, distributors, investors, and service providers.
The Guyana segment will take place on June 9-10 at the Pegasus Corporate Centre, while the Suriname leg will follow on June 12 at the Royal Torarica Ballroom. Elegant Networking Cocktail receptions in both countries are being proudly sponsored by Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited and Republic Bank Suriname N.V., whose continued support reflects a shared commitment to strengthening regional trade and private sector collaboration.
The mission comes at a time of growing economic integration between Guyana, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago, with increasing opportunities emerging across manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, energy, agro-processing, logistics, retail, distribution, professional services, education, and technology. Through SGCC’s structured matchmaking approach, participants will gain direct access to decision-makers, procurement opportunities, market intelligence, and potential strategic partners.
Building on the success of the 2025 edition, which facilitated more than 350 curated B2B meetings and generated over US$300 million in reported deal value and commercial opportunities, the 2026 mission is expected to further strengthen regional business relationships while supporting new partnerships, distributorships, investments, and market expansion initiatives across the Caribbean.
For SGCC, the mission remains one of the Chamber’s major trade facilitation platforms and reflects its commitment to connecting businesses, promoting regional integration, and creating practical pathways for private sector growth. As economic activity continues to accelerate across the Guianas and wider CARICOM region, initiatives such as the TTMA Trade Mission play an important role in translating opportunity into meaningful business outcomes and long-term regional prosperity.
