SGCC Advances Proposal for Privatization of Canawaima Ferry Service

The Suriname Guyana Chamber of Commerce (SGCC) has taken a significant step towards improving regional connectivity by formally presenting a proposal for the privatization of the Canawaima Ferry Service. This momentous occasion took place during the International Business Conference Suriname, held February 4th - 6th at the Assuria Events Center, Paramaribo.

The privatization initiative is aimed at enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and long-term sustainability of the ferry service, which serves as a vital trade and travel link between the two nations.
