Originating from Paramaribo, Suriname, KUNEN began by offering exclusive European kitchens under the Schmidt brand, tailored to be tropically resistant. By 2010, KUNEN had established its factory in Paramaribo, expanding its product line to include walk-in closets, bathroom furniture, interior doors, and other custom furniture pieces. To further ensure quality and expand its market reach, KUNEN set up a production unit in the Netherlands in 2013. Renamed in 2022 to reflect its broader scope, KUNEN Kitchens & Interior Construction continues to innovate, driven by customer feedback and a commitment to high-quality, bespoke designs.
