Behind every smile lies a story.
What began as a single hotel on the banks of the Suriname River has grown into a leading name in Suriname's hospitality industry. The Torarica Group is more than just comfortable rooms and excellent service - it's a story of passion, growth, and dedication to people and the environment.
The Torarica Group is a leading hotel chain in Suriname, comprising three unique hotels: Torarica Resort, Eco Torarica, and Royal Torarica. Each hotel offers a unique experience, from luxury and business amenities to tranquility surrounded by nature. The group has a rich history of innovation and hospitality since 1962. Whether you're looking for relaxation, adventure, or business opportunities, Torarica offers quality, comfort, and Surinamese warmth for every type of traveler. Discover the soul of Suriname with The Torarica Group.
Local Discount
Kow Gwe is an initiative of The Torarica Group to support local residents with discounts on hotel rooms, food and beverages, and wellness facilities. This program focuses on improving quality of life amid economic challenges. The discount applies to all three hotels and emphasizes Torarica's commitment to community connection and inclusivity. A valid Surinamese ID or passport is required to take advantage of the offer. Discounts cannot be combined with other specials or promotions.
Traveling to Suriname
Travelers to and from Suriname are advised to be vaccinated against yellow fever at least 10 days before departure. This is mandatory for travelers from high-risk areas, and they must be able to present valid proof of vaccination (the yellow booklet) upon inspection. An e-visa or e-tourist card is also required for travelers requiring a visa. These documents can be requested digitally via the official website and will be provided by VFS Global in PDF format by email.
Sustainability
Since 2019, The Torarica Group has been actively committed to sustainability and is the first hotel group in Suriname to hold the international Green Key certification. They focus on waste separation, water and energy conservation, oil reuse, biodegradable packaging, and local sourcing. With initiatives like compostable straws, digital menus, and environmentally conscious choices, Torarica inspires both employees and guests. Green Key helps reduce the ecological footprint and contributes to future-oriented tourism, where nature, economy, and community are in balance.
